Valery Montagnon-Jones

Simmons Gainsford, part of the Sumer Group, has strengthened its leadership team within its tax service line with the appointment of Valery Montagnon-Jones as OMB Private Client Tax Partner.

Valery joins Simmons Gainsford from Brebners bringing extensive experience across UK tax issues for private clients including the range of taxation issues facing owner managed businesses. Her appointment marks a significant step in Simmons Gainsford’s plans to expand and enhance its tax offering.

In her new role, Valery will focus on developing Simmons Gainsford’s OMB tax capability, building on the services offered to their existing client base.

Valery Montagnon-Jones, OMB Private Client Tax Partner at Simmons Gainsford, said: “I am very excited to be joining a larger firm again after many years at a smaller practice, where the expertise in a larger firm offers great opportunity for many clients to provide quality advice using experts across the business.

In addition, this OMB private client role provides much wider scope to utilise my expertise across a broad client base with input and interaction across many differing tax specialisms – private client, corporate tax, employment taxes and VAT.”

Anthony Rose, Head of Tax at Simmons Gainsford, added: “I am delighted to have Valery on board to set up a new OMB private client tax team leveraging off her extensive experience in tax and experience of a varied client base.  This will be of significant benefit to building on our existing private client capability and I wish her every success as we continue our journey of growth as part of the Sumer Group”.
