Bestselling author Adele Parks MBE is coming to Glasgow this August for a special Bookface Sip & Swap event celebrating books, conversation and community.
Taking place at Glaschu on Sunday 23 August at 9.30am, the morning promises bestselling books, brilliant chat and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for readers of all kinds.
Guests will enjoy an intimate live Q&A with Adele Parks as she discusses her gripping new psychological thriller *Eyes on You*, her writing career and the secrets behind creating suspense that keeps millions of readers hooked. Known for her sharp twists and emotionally charged storytelling, Adele is one of the UK’s biggest publishing names, with more than six million books sold worldwide.
Her latest novel, *Eyes on You*, follows Amy, a woman haunted by trauma after witnessing her father murder his secret lover when she was just 15 years old. Years later, Amy meets Oliver Harrington, a man carrying secrets of his own, and their intense connection quickly spirals into something darker. The novel explores obsession, betrayal and the lasting impact of violence in a tense and addictive thriller.
Alongside the author event, guests can take part in Bookface’s hugely popular sustainable book swap, with more than 200 titles available to browse. Attendees are encouraged to bring up to four books to exchange.
Tickets include tea or coffee, a croissant and a glass of fizz or soft drink, creating a relaxed Sunday morning experience designed for book lovers to connect, chat and discover their next favourite read.
Founded in 2020 by broadcaster and publicist Heather Suttie, Bookface has grown into a thriving 30k strong reading community and live events brand, hosting more than 85 sold-out events across Scotland. Previous guests have included Val McDermid, Lisa Jewell, Heather Morris, Chris Brookmyre, Helen Fields, Claire Douglas, Sophie Gravia, Shari Lapena and Susannah Constantine.
