Partnership sees Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter become home to the region’s first dedicated hub for female enterprise.
The 51% Club, the UK’s definitive community for ambitious female founders and leaders, is marking its second birthday with the announcement of its most significant milestone to date: the launch of a dedicated co-working space for female founders and leaders in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Opening on 1 June 2026, The 51% Club at The Wilmot will be housed within The Wilmot, one of Birmingham’s most beautifully restored heritage buildings. The space will offer dedicated desks and flexible passes exclusively for women building and scaling their businesses, and its announcement comes at a time when only 2-4% of women-led businesses in the UK reach £1 million in revenue.
The launch marks a defining moment for The 51% Club, which has grown from a series of Birmingham events to a national movement with five city hubs located in Birmingham, Leamington Spa, Leicester, London, and Worcester.
Tara Attfield-Tomes, Founder of The 51% Club, said: “I started The 51% Club because too many women were building their businesses in isolation; without the right rooms, the right people, or the right support around them. Two years on, we have 2,000 members (growing daily), five city hubs, and now a physical home in Birmingham for the kind of women we exist to serve.
The 51% Club at The Wilmot is the most tangible expression yet of what we’re building, and our answer to the fact that women are still being held back by a lack of the right infrastructure. I’m so proud to be opening this space in my hometown; creating somewhere that women can be unapologetically ambitious.”
Members of the co-working space will have access to The 51% Club’s full ecosystem, including monthly expert-led events, growth programmes, tailormade initiatives, and a growing community of likeminded women across the UK.

Alongside the co-working launch, The 51% Club has recently launched the Million Pound Ladder, a world-first framework developed in partnership with Lead Like A Woman that maps seven revenue stages from £0 to £2 million+. Only 2-4% of women-led businesses ever reach £1 million in revenue, and The Million Pound Ladder is designed to change that.
Since launching in 2024, The 51% Club has delivered over 100 events and supported 40 founders through its growth programme and year-long Fortuna Fellowship accelerator. It also powers the West Midlands Female Enterprise Forum, which brings together public and private sector leaders – from local authority and universities, to professional services and investors – to strengthen the regional ecosystem for women-led businesses and feed directly into national policy conversations.
As The 51% Club enters its third year, the organisation is focused on deepening its impact across its five existing city hubs.

The 51% Club at The Wilmot will offer dedicated monthly desks at £249 + VAT for members and £300 for non-members, alongside flexible five and ten-day passes for founders who need a professional base without a full-time commitment.
