Pioneering facial technology launches in Northampton

EMFACE launch – L-R: Blandine Davies and Cllr Jane Birch

Beauty influencers and representatives from the local business community gathered in Northampton on Thursday, December 4, to celebrate the launch of state-of-the-art facial technology to replace the need for injectable aesthetics.

Mayor of Northampton, Cllr Jane Birch, cut the ribbon on the pioneering EMFACE device – the only non-invasive facelift that uses combined HIFES® and RF technologies to stimulate facial muscles and improve skin.

The treatment also creates more lift naturally and reduces wrinkles in just four 20-minute pain free sessions, without using needles and with no need for downtime.

It is also a great foundational treatment for those who still wish to include injectables in their beauty routine.

Launched by local health and wellness clinic Total Body Confidence, in partnership with global medical equipment manufacturer BTL Industries, EMFACE can also be used to correct facial asymmetry caused by medical conditions, such as Bell’s Palsy.

The event, held at the Mercure Hotel in Northampton town centre, saw invited guests experience the groundbreaking technology for the first time, in mini sessions designed to elevate facial muscles in the forehead, cheeks, submentum (double chin) and under the eyes, whilst also building collagen and elastin in the skin. Many commented how they felt their muscles working and immediately felt a difference after just 20 minutes.

Cllr Jane Birch said: “EMFACE, the first facial technology of its kind in Northamptonshire, is a favourite in Hollywood with a number of celebrities. It is wonderful to see this technology being brought to Northampton, and to see representatives of West Northamptonshire Council and the South Midlands Growth Hub supporting local business and innovation.

“West Northamptonshire Council, in collaboration with the South Midlands Growth Hub, is delighted to have awarded Total Body Confidence a grant to enable the purchase of the EMFACE device, which will not only provide people with an alternative to injectables, but will also help people to re-balance facial asymmetry caused by various medical conditions.

“It’s always a pleasure to support local businesses, especially small ones that have such a positive impact on health and wellbeing within our community.”

Total Body Confidence owner Blandine Davies said of the launch: “As a one-woman-band, it is a massive achievement to not only bring this event to Northampton, but the EMFACE technology to the local area. I could not have done either without the support of BTL, West Northamptonshire Council, South Midlands Growth Hub and other small businesses who have worked with me to arrange the launch event and market it.

“EMFACE is a groundbreaking facial rejuvenation treatment that uses patented technology to simultaneously work on the facial muscles – something that not even surgery can achieve – as well as the skin to give a natural looking face-lift without injectables. The response from those who had treatments was brilliant and I look forward to helping more people in Northamptonshire to feel Total Body Confidence after using this non-invasive treatment.”
