Flexible workspace provider, Canvas Offices, has announced the appointment of Darren Hill as its new Head of Real Estate.
A newly created position designed to help drive the company’s next phase of growth, this appointment marks a significant step forward as Canvas continues to scale its portfolio of workspaces across London.
Established in 2018 by founding partners, Yaron and Oren Rosenblum, Canvas Offices provides bespoke, design-led flexible workspaces throughout the Capital. Since inception, it has sourced, refurbished and launched 17 office buildings in prime locations including Mayfair, Shoreditch and Holborn.
A chartered surveyor with a career path that spans across technology, property, flexible workspace and software sales, Darren’s varied experience equips him to oversee complex transactions, manage high-level negotiations and approach sales from a fresh perspective.
Having previously worked in the flex industry, Darren was eager to return to the sector and is now focused on not only expanding Canvas’ portfolio but also in positioning the brand as a true partner to landlords and clients, while enhancing the experience for the entrepreneurs and businesses who call Canvas home. His ambition is to contribute to Canvas’ growth strategy in a way that is sustainable, people-focused and true to the company’s entrepreneurial spirit.
Commenting on his new role, Darren said: “I was drawn to Canvas by the family feel and entrepreneurial culture created by Yaron and Oren. They have an unconditional belief in each other and in the business. Canvas develops people as well as spaces, and if I can contribute even a 1–2% improvement, it would be a real honour. This is an exciting chance to build something new, at a company that does things differently.”
Yaron Rosenblum, Co-Founder of Canvas, added: “We are delighted to welcome Darren to the team. His unique background across property, technology and flexible workspace, combined with his entrepreneurial mindset, makes him the perfect fit for this new role that bridges strategy, growth and collaboration. His appointment is an important step in our mission to grow Canvas sustainably and strategically and we are in no doubt Darren will make a positive impact.”
Headquartered in High Holborn, Canvas boasts an average 97% occupancy rate across its portfolio, with its spaces home to hundreds of thriving businesses – including leading brands such as Rough Trade, Patchwork, Malin+Goetz, and Augustinus Bader.
