On a very dark and rainy-day Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster successfully completed celebrations for BBC Children in Need’s 25th anniversary after a week-long programme of activities that got every child involved, not just those attending on the official fundraising day.
Throughout the week, children took part in a series of physical challenges, all themed around the number 25 to mark the milestone year. Activities included: 25 star jumps, 25 laps, and 25 minutes of action rhymes and songs, encouraging movement and promoting healthy habits while raising money for a great cause.
Parents generously supported the initiative with donations, and the nursery raised over £160 which will go directly to Children in Need, helping disadvantaged children across the UK.
Nursery Manager Gaynor Cater highlighted that the event was about more than just fundraising: “We wanted every child to participate and have fun while focusing on physical development. It’s a great way to combine learning, movement, and community spirit.”
The nursery’s creative approach ensured that all children could join in, making the celebration both inclusive and active.
