National children’s charity MedEquip4Kids receives £15,000 funding award

Thanks to players of The Health Lottery, £15,000 has been awarded by The Health Lottery Foundation to Manchester-based national children’s charity, MedEquip4Kids for their Hummingbird Project.

The Hummingbird Project is a school-based mental health and wellbeing programme that empowers children to understand and manage their emotions, build resilience and develop lifelong skills for positive mental health.

Martin Ellice, CEO of The Health Lottery said, “We understand that one in five children and young people are now thought to have a mental health condition such as anxiety or depression and we are delighted to support the Hummingbird Project”. The Health Lottery has now helped raise over £135 million for health-related good causes.
