Cherry-Picked Pop-Up draws big crowds and strong sales at Saints of Ingram in Glasgow

The Cherry-Picked Pop-Up proved its pull on Saturday 6 November, attracting steady footfall from open till close and delivering strong sales for Glasgow’s independent makers, sellers and creatives. The one-day market filled Saints of Ingram with vintage clothing, art, jewellery, books and homeware, and created a lively, packed space that felt personal, local and worth the stop.

The atmosphere stayed upbeat from the first hour, with visitors browsing rails of 80s sequins, metallics, bold prints and designer finds. MOXIE’s all-day vintage sale was the key draw, with shoppers queuing early and leaving with armfuls of £10 pieces. Many sellers reported their best single-day event to date.

Anna Campbell-Jones’ curated selection of Scottish sustainable homewares and Lucky Swallows pots drew interest from design fans looking for something functional with character. Jewellery by Muriel Webster was another hit, with her hand-crafted pieces selling steadily throughout the day. Sadie’s Upcycle Store and Missy Montague Knits added range, personality and colour to the room.

Accessibility, fair pricing and a friendly layout helped give the event a relaxed and open feel, making it easy for people to spend time, chat to makers and find something they actually wanted to take home.

Heather Suttie, event organiser and publicist, said:“We wanted to create a pop-up that felt fresh, affordable and worth showing up for — and Glasgow absolutely responded. The sellers put on a strong display, the crowd stayed engaged all day, and the feedback has been brilliant.”

The success of the debut edition sets a strong foundation for future Cherry-Picked events, with plans already being explored for the next pop-up.
