Four influential speakers will be the guests at a brain injury networking forum hosted by a Shropshire law firm later this month.

It will be held in Birmingham on Wednesday, November 12, and is the latest in a popular series of inspirational brain injury networking events to be held by Lanyon Bowdler at venues in and around Shropshire.

Admission is free but people are being urged to book now as places will be limited. It runs between 10am and noon and will feature talks form Anava Baruch and Andrew Pryer from Design for Independence, and Rhianna Holland and Mike Williams from RBC Brewin Dolphin.

Dawn Humphries, head of the personal injury team at Lanyon Bowdler, said: “These events are always well attended and provide an interesting forum for discussion about the issues facing those who have suffered a brain injury.

“We host networking forums at various venues and invite a variety of specialists along to give short presentations as guest speakers.

“Anava is the director and clinical lead of Design for Independence and leads the team of housing occupational therapists who specialise in designing homes for people who have suffered catastrophic injuries and live with physical, cognitive and visual impairments.

“Andrew is the firm’s business development manager and brings a wealth of management, customer service and sales experience from his previous career in investment banking to his role.

“Mike Williams and Rhianna Holland are both financial specialists and will be discussing how to make the best use of compensation following an accident or major injury.

“They will talk through a case study demonstrating the importance of working with professional deputies and wealth managers when managing a financial settlement, considering aspects such as tax-efficiency, investment risk and the long-term sustainability of the funds.”

Lanyon Bowdlery’s brain injury networking event takes place at No5 Barrister’s Chambers, 103 Colemore Row, Birmingham.
