Recruitment specialists have revealed they are poised to pay a massive £4.2 million a year in wages on two newly awarded annual contracts alone.
In addition, Red Recruitment 24:7 has also won a contract from a third company, which wants the temp to permanent staff supplier to find it more than 140 workers.
Red Recruitment 24:7 Managing Director Mark Morley said he has never seen the jobs market looking so promising, as companies find themselves urgently needing to increase their workforces.
News comes as firms continue to rebuild and expand their operations as the UK slowly emerges from the latest Coronavirus lockdown.
“The number of enquiries we are receiving is amazing. For months people have been coping with lockdowns, being on furlough, or found themselves being made redundant. Against that backdrop, many people have been worried about how many and what type of jobs might become available over the coming months.
“Our telephones are constantly ringing, but firms are not only asking to find large numbers of employees for them, they are also desperate to fill their vacancies as soon as possible,” said Mark.
“Of course, this situation partly reflects the sad fact that some firms have closed their doors permanently. The other side of that is that some of their rivals have picked-up extra customers and orders.”
Red Recruitment 247, which has its headquarters in Lincoln, and Gainsborough and Scunthorpe branches, provides temp to permanent workers for a wide range of sectors including industrial, food manufacturing, warehousing and electrical and mechanical engineering.
“The £4.2 million in wages mentioned is in respect of 160 new vacancies we are currently filling over two companies. One is a food manufacturer and the other involved in manufacturing packaging,” said Mark.
“A separate company has contracted us to fill 143 vacancies. It manufactures in packing and components and needs more workers as soon as possible.”
