Small business energy switching platform, Tickd, has announced James Villarreal will join as a Board Director.
Villarreal, who previously co-founded Glide Utilities, brings great experience and a different dimension to a team that has built great foundations for growth since launch in 2020. Richard Price, MD of Tickd said “James has very much ‘been there and got the T-shirt’. After dropping out of university, he co-founded a business and raised initial investment from a standing start that went on to be recognised as one of the fastest growing companies in the UK. In more recent years, he guided it through two acquisitions – the most recent of these, being in April 2020.

Tickd is on a mission to simplify the energy switching process for small businesses, providing a fully-digital energy comparison and switching journey that allows small business customers to go online, compare and switch their energy in just 90 seconds.

Tickd also offer a SaaS model, providing the digital sign up journey for energy suppliers, or white labelled energy comparison services for energy brokers and consultants.
