Racetrack sponsor returns for Krazy Races Wolverhampton

Krazy karts will be speeding through Wolverhampton City Centre this month thanks to racetrack sponsorship from a West Midlands-based legal firm.

Award-winning solicitors FBC Manby Bowdler is sponsoring the track, which will begin in Queen Square and head down to Darlington Street, and finish line at Krazy Races Wolverhampton, taking place on August 21st.

The free-to-attend soapbox racing event is expected to welcome thousands of spectators and up to 20 teams during its Wolverhampton debut, following the success of its events in Shrewsbury and Northwich earlier this year.

Teams will be racing to raise money for event’s charity partner, Macmillan, as well as personal charities many have chosen to support.

Neil Lloyd, Managing Director at FBC Manby Bowdler, said: “FBC Manby Bowdler is a long-time supporter of both the engineering sector and a range of local charities, so Krazy Races is a perfect chassis for our sponsorship!”

It will be the second time the legal firm is supporting the Krazy Races as it also sponsored the racetrack and finish line at the Shrewsbury races in May. Across both events, FBC Manby Bowdler will have more than 700 metres of track and a giant finish line with its branding.

Mr Lloyd added: “We’re delighted to support both events in Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury, reflecting the wider region where we deliver our legal service.

“It’s always brilliant to see the innovation and imagination which goes into the karts and it’s fantastic that money is being raised for charity at the same time.”

Sarah Belcher, Event Organiser and Founder of Sarah Belcher Events, said: “To keep our soapbox event free to attend we rely on the support of local businesses who are as passionate as we are about providing great, family fun entertainment.

“We are so excited to be working with such a fantastic and enthusiastic midlands-based company for the second time this year.”
