On Friday 24th June 2022 Lily Oliver Decor was recognised by Britishbusinesswoman Jacqueline Gold CBE for their success as a female entrepreneur and awarded with a prestigious #WOW badge.
Lily Oliver Decor was selected by Jacqueline after she entered ‘Women on Wednesday’ – a competition launched by Jacqueline in 2011 to celebrate the growing number of UK female entrepreneurs and businesswomen.
Women on Wednesday (#WOW) takes place every week and is run through Jacqueline’s Twitter and Instagram page. When selecting the winner, Jacqueline looks for a business that is interesting, that has strong brand values and that she thinks has the potential to grow and succeed in their industry. She looks for quality products and services, well designed websites and entrepreneurs who demonstrate good business acumen and who have spotted a gap in the market that meets the consumer’s needs.
Lily Oliver Decor is a small business with a huge heart and huge ambition with an aim to brighten homes across the country whilst focusing on being as sustainable as possible – even managing to actively support ecologi but planting their own first and donating to Unicef, beautiful things do not need to cost the earth.
Jacqueline Gold says: “Lily Oliver Decor is a family-run business, started by two sisters who share a passion for all things home-related. They do their best to keep all of their products as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible. It is so important to take these steps when beginning a business and I know they will be a great addition to the WOW community.”
For me, #WOW is all about inspiring and celebrating female entrepreneurs. My vision is for women in the UK to come together, celebrate their strengths, skills and fantastic businesses, and do all that they can to inspire other women to realise their potential.
The WOW community is a fantastic network which offers female entrepreneurs the opportunity to share advice, support each other, trade and most importantly celebrate their successes!”
Lily Oliver Decor is a small family business in the heart of the Cumbrian countryside . Founded by two sisters – Samantha ( our photographer, web designer & home decor guru ) and Victoria ( our home fragrance chef ). – so why are we called Lily Oliver? Well when coming up with a business you’re always looking towards the future , so whom better to name a business after than the children who are our future and whom we do everything for .
We started our journey in September 2020 after developing what was initially a hobby into something which incorporated both of our skills .
Since our business began we have featured in local magazines and papers as well as featuring in British vogue. This year we also gained our first award – On Monday 13th June 2022 LILY OLIVER DECOR was selected and recognised by business man Theo Paphitis for Being an outstanding & driven business and was awarded the #SBS badge just a few weeks prior to receiving the WOW award !
We are proud to be able to support and donate to ecologi and plant our own forest – as well as be able to donate 100% profits from our special charity candle for Unicef .
We believe that even though we are a small business- we are showing that we can lead the way in sustainability choices for home fragrance as well as getting ourselves noticed for the right reasons.
Even our customers agree that our fragrances truly are amazing- from the attention to detail from packaging to the very last drop of fragrance they get from a product.
