This year’s fringe festival of workshops and activities ranged from parkour and tie-dying, to new theatre productions
Over 200 pupils at Warminster School celebrated the end of term during this year’s 2025 Summer Creative Arts Festival with a variety of fun and inspiring activities to spark creativity.
With 18 new workshops this year including percussion, collage making and Warhammer, along with pupils’ new theatre productions, year 7-10 and Lower Sixth pupils all tried something new, discovered hidden talents and joined together across different age groups to have fun.
A number of workshops were especially popular with the pupils including parkour, kitchen chemistry, dance, stage combat and balloon-making. The pupils also enjoyed their own performances of Animal Farm and Education, Education, Education.
Says Nicola Rogers, Assistant Head (Co-Curricular), Warminster School on this year’s festival: “With a fantastic variety of workshops on offer, every pupil had the opportunity to try something new, explore their interests and develop new skills – it was a joyful and inspiring celebration of creativity across our school community.
“A real highlight this year was seeing some of the workshops organised and led by pupils themselves, showing their leadership, initiative and passion for the arts. It was also particularly heartening to see the different age groups working so well together, showing courage, and most importantly, having fun!”
Over 25 workshops were held over two days, with other activities including Corps of Drums, where American-style drumlines performed together, Bandeoke, where participants played in a band for the first time, and Forest Arts, which used sounds of nature to create nature-inspired artefacts.
The popular ‘Three Witty Fools’ theatre group of three pupils also took to the stage for the final time before leaving Warminster and performed their sell-out show from last summer’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Adds Addison, Year 8: “The Summer Festival is so much fun. I loved the choices of things we could do – I found it really hard to choose just a few options! My favourite was pyrography because I learned a new skill that you wouldn’t normally do at school. Some of the productions were great too, especially the Three Witty Fools, it was so funny!’
