The NSPCC West Midlands Business Board (WMBB) is thrilled to announce its upcoming Charity Ball, in celebration of the 140th birthday of the NSPCC, aimed at raising vital funds to support children and families affected by abuse in the West Midlands. The event will take place on Friday 11th October at the ICC Birmingham, promising an evening filled with entertainment and inspiring stories of hope and resilience.
The WMBB, who is committed to raising the profile of the NSPCC in support of preventing child abuse, invites the community to join in this special evening. Proceeds from the Ball will directly benefit local children and families, providing essential services such as counselling, therapy, and family support programmes.
Not only will you be supporting a fantastic charity and enjoying delightful evening entertainment, but the event will also be hosted by two proud and brilliant Brummies – PJ Ellis and Maverine Cole!
PJ Ellis is an advocate of all things Birmingham, he co-founded the charity LoveBrum in 2014, which shines a light on the “hidden gem” projects of Birmingham. The charity has funded over 300 local charitable projects over the years, connecting thousands of people and businesses along the way.
Marverine Cole is a multi-award-winning broadcaster and journalist. She is currently best known as one of the newsreader team on ITV1’s flagship breakfast programme, Good Morning Britain (GMB). When Marverine is not on presenting on TV or radio, she is tasting and reviewing real ales as she happens to be an accredited beer sommelier!
The evening’s highlights include:
- Performances from the CLF dance team, showcasing a vibrant traditional dragon and lion dance
- A delicious three-course meal,
- Entertainment including a DJ, live band and hosting the wonderful Chloe Barry,
- And an exciting array of items and experiences to bid on in a silent auction, generously donated by local businesses and supporters.
Tickets for the Ball are available now and can be purchased by emailing the West Midlands Business Board at nspccwbmm@gmail.com. Various sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and individuals who wish to support the event further.
Join us for a night of glamour and generosity and help us make a lasting impact on the lives of children in the West Midlands. Together, we can prevent child abuse and support those who need it most.
