A leading Wiltshire vets has been recognised as one of the most “outstanding” in the country after a rare clean sweep of top industry awards.

Linnaeus-owned Eastcott Vets in Swindon received the glowing assessment from governing body the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

The hospital swept the board after being ranked “outstanding” in all six categories by the RCVS Practice Standards Awards team following a recent inspection.

Acknowledging the quality at Eastcott, the RCVS report said: “It was a real pleasure spending two days at Eastcott, witnessing the work being carried out, seeing the facilities and meeting many members of the team.

“The facilities and equipment were superb, and the knowledge and standard of treatment was excellent.

“What really impressed was the way the teams interacted and shared ideas to raise standards throughout the practice.

“The leaders and management are to be congratulated on creating such a positive learning culture.”

Eastcott was rated as outstanding in all six categories it entered, which were: team responsibility, client services, patient consultation services, diagnostic services, in-patient services and emergency and critical care services.

Eastcott hospital director Niki Burton was thrilled with the outcome, saying: “I am naturally delighted we have passed all six RCVS awards with outstanding marks. This is a huge achievement for everyone here.

“The awards are a recognition of the amazing team we have at Eastcott. Everyone works so hard and is always striving to improve the service we offer to our patients and clients, delivering high standards across all teams.

“I would like to thank everyone for their contributions and time. The assessor from the RCVS was so impressed with the team and gave a special ‘shout out’ to client care for their superb service.

“I am incredibly proud of our Eastcott team and look forward to where we go from here and what we can achieve next.”
