Take steps against cybercrime: Infostep charity walk lights up London!

Every stride will be a statement against the pervasive threats of cybercrime, as supporters take to the streets of London this October. As part of the larger efforts in Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a collaborative initiative between Infostep and The Cyber Helpline is urging the infosec community to lace up their trainers and walk in unity for victims of cybercrime and online harm.

On October 28th, a special 10-mile journey will begin at Richmond Station, winding its way through iconic parts of the city and culminating at the National Theatre, in a show of solidarity and commitment to combating the silent threat of cybercrime that affects millions each year.

Details are as follows:

Date: October 28th, 2023

Start Time: 11am

Starting Point: Richmond Station

Finish: National Theatre, London

Duration: Approx. 3-4 hours

But the camaraderie doesn’t stop at the finish line. Participants and supporters are invited to continue the conversation and build connections at a local pub where everyone will gather for some well-deserved food, drinks, and networking.

“We believe in not just raising awareness but also in uniting communities against the challenges of the digital age,” states Tom Quinn, founder of Infostep “This walk is about more than fundraising. It’s about empowerment, knowledge-sharing, and the collective responsibility to support those affected by cybercrimes.”

The proceeds from this event will be directed towards providing critical support and resources for victims of online harm, ensuring that they’re not alone in their journey towards recovery.
