A North Staffordshire charity whose training workshops have helped scores of local companies to understand the impact of sexual violence and trauma on their employees is extending its reach across the UK and beyond with a new online platform.
Savana has been supporting survivors of sexual abuse and their families for over 30-years.
The charity’s face-to-face CPD accredited training has helped support many companies, public sector bodies and other charities. Now adapted versions of Savana’s workshops are to be made available to e-learners for the first time.
“We’ve now developed a new online platform which will allow us to massively spread our reach,” said Savana Chief Executive, Sophia Baker. “We will, of course, still be running face-to-face workshops, but online provides an ideal opportunity to support more companies. Education is the key to building a supportive, healthy, and productive workforce, and our new online platform represents a significant stride forward towards our mission of creating a world free of sexual violence.”
The platform will launch with “An Introduction to Trauma-Informed Practice”.
Nikki Taylor, Training and Marketing Manager, at Savana, said: “This module is suitable for anyone wanting to explore the impact of all trauma, not just sexual violence. For example, a company may employ former armed service personnel, firefighters, or paramedics, victims of crime, or refugees from conflict zones.
