The Haven have secured a spot in the first ever Big Give women and girls matched giving campaign. The charity have just one week to raise £10,000 in online donations. This incredible total will become £20,000 at no cost to you or to the charity. The campaign provides an amazing opportunity to make twice the impact with your donation to The Haven as donations will be DOUBLED at no cost to you or The Haven.
Fundraising Manager, Jade Secker said “We are so excited to be taking part in this inaugural campaign and for it to launch on such an important day. This project is vital in so many ways and every penny donated will have a life-changing impact for those we support. The last few years have been incredibly difficult for so many people so please only give if you are able to.”
The campaign went live from 12pm on 8th March – International Women’s Day – through the 12pm on the 15th March. Money raised through the challenge will be helping to support women and children with emergency needs such as travel costs to get to us safely, food vouchers, household items and, when women are ready, your support will also help them to resettle and create a safer home in the community through helping to install alarms and stronger locks.
Jade Secker continued “we are asking people to celebrate the day by donating in honour of a woman that inspires them in their lives; whether that be a teacher, a friend or a public figure. By donating to our campaign, you will be ensuring more women and their children can safely flee from the trauma of abuse, and begin to look towards a happier and safer future.”
