Roxel UK attend Complex Weapons, Innovation & Technology Partnership (CW-ITP) Conference

Roxel UK attended the biennial CW-ITP conference on 23rd – 25th October in Edinburgh, as part of our commitment to the future of propulsion and rocket motor technologies. The CW-ITP (Complex Weapons, Innovation and Technology Partnership) is a Dstl and DGA sponsored research fund open to all UK or French companies and academic institutions.

As the Propulsion technical lead for the CW-ITP, Roxel UK aims to collaboratively advance the UK/France’s rocket motors capability with SQEP, industrial advances, and innovative materials and technologies to prepare for our customers’ needs and our future. As the Technology Champions for Propulsion, Roxel UK provides a focus for Anglo-French collaboration and co-ordination of research into rocket motor technologies across the MoD (Ministry of Defence), industries, SME’s and academia.

Dr Philip Gill, FRSC, Principle Propellant Chemist at Roxel UK explains, “At the conference, the Engineering team from Roxel UK launched the Rocket Motor technical challenges for the 2024 project funding; and presented ongoing research in the areas of “Novel Insensitive Munition Protection” and “Hybrid Rocket Powered Missiles”.

As Roxel UK enters a rapid phase of expansion at their Summerfield site in Worcestershire, supporting the industry and planning for new technologies is an important part of our ongoing strategy. Building on the success of the recent CW-ITP Conference, Roxel UK look forward to the next event in 2025.
