Rock Fall, a multi-award-winning second-generation family owned business in Alfreton sits at the forefront of the safety footwear market supplying more than 600,000 pairs per year, their world first innovations provide solutions to the ever-changing demands of modern industry.
The company recently exhibited at the Intersec Safety Exhibition in Dubai as part of the BSIF British Pavilion, with the aiming of showing the world that they are “open for business”.
Intersec took place between the 19th – 21st of January at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and is the leading exhibition for Security, Safety and Fire Protection.
Rock Fall’s Senior Management Team attended the exhibition and met delegates from around the world from nations including China, New Zealand, Singapore, Pakistan and several African countries. This was all in addition to the UAE and surrounding areas, which the event was primarily aimed at.
The event saw the launch of several styles that are being added to the Rock Fall ‘Worldwide’ Range. This Rock Fall ‘Worldwide’ Range already features styles for construction, utilities, heavy manufacturing and foundry, power generation and transmission, car manufacturing, aerospace and defence.
The new styles include a range of firefighting and extreme heat protection boots, as well as some highly specialist Electrical Hazard boots with an insulating sole unit and what is said to be the first Arc rated boot in the world, designed to protect against the risks of Arc flash accidents.
Reflecting on the whirlwind event the Rock Fall Senior Management Team said: “The Intersec exhibition is the 4th event in a program of International events we have attended to promote the Rock Fall brand. We started in China, before New Zealand and the USA. We already have significant export success and continual sales in the business, but we know that we are only scratching the surface. The feedback and opportunities we’ve received at all these events has been outstanding and exceeded all our expectations. We’re doing some great work with the DIT and the support of the BSIF has been a great enabler. We’re excited to expand our worldwide footprints and see this as the start of a long and successful journey.”
