Refurbishment works completed at Worcester industrial estate

Building consultants at Harris Lamb have overseen a refurbishment project at a Worcester industrial estate.

Acting on behalf of Allianz Properties and DTZ Investors, the business was initially instructed to prepare a Schedule of Dilapidations for Units 15 and 16 at Cranham Industrial Estate on Shipston Close further to the premises being vacated by the occupier.

Further to the report being produced, the Building Consultancy team was tasked with specifying and project managing refurbishment and improvement works at the two units.

Marcus Andrew, who oversaw the project, said: “With the well-documented shortage of quality industrial units available throughout the Midlands continuing and the demand showing no signs of abating, landlords throughout the region are recognising the opportunity to invest in and improve their existing stock as units become vacant, thereby providing immediate solutions to the shortfall and attracting new occupiers.

“The works undertaken at Cranham Industrial Estate included the internal strip out of the units, followed by internal refurbishment, repairs and decorations and new lighting. We also undertook repairs and coating of the roof, external cladding decorations and installed new windows, doors and shutter doors.

Neil Slade of Harris Lamb’s Agency team, who is marketing the units, said there had been significant interest in the opportunities further to the refurbishment, with new occupiers expected to be secured early next year.
