Pallet-Track raises over £16,000 for Wolverhampton charity

Pallet-Track raises more than £16,000 for Believe to Achieve

Wolverhampton logistics firm Pallet-Track is celebrating raising more than £16,000 for its nominated charity Believe to Achieve in 2022.

The company dedicates all its fundraising activities to a new nominated cause every year and has collected £16,429 for the children’s charity, which is located just two miles from its main hub in Millfields Road.

Believe to Achieve was founded in 2001 in Wolverhampton by George Medal holder, Lisa Potts, to support vulnerable children and their families.

It plans to use the money to fund counsellors to continue this vital work, which includes everything from supporting young children with mental health issues to those involved with gang culture.

Pallet-Track’s teams raised the money with a series of events across the year, including its annual golf day, a hub-to-hub cycle ride and its end-of-year shareholder gala.

Nick Pratt, project manager at Believe to Achieve said: “This money will make a huge difference to our work. We take referrals from schools, healthcare and social workers, and funding the counsellors delivering our support is a big challenge.

“Our team of around 20 counsellors and 10 mentors use different forms of therapy to support children aged five to 15 with early intervention. Activities include art, sport, dance and family therapy, all of which help young people express their emotions.

“Since the pandemic, we have seen an increase in aggressive behaviour from children, a repercussion of lockdown which we know is just the tip of the iceberg.

“Any money we receive to help us tackle this national issue is gratefully received and will make the world of difference to these vulnerable children.”

Caroline Green, chief executive at Pallet-Track, said: “Our team went above and beyond with their fundraising in 2022, as they always do. The result is a fantastic figure of more than £16,000 which we hope will make a big difference to the vital work carried out by Believe to Achieve.”

The team at Pallet-Track is now voting to choose its 2023 nominated charity, which will be announced shortly.
