Pallet-Track has nominated Alzheimer’s Society as its charity of the year for 2019
A leading Wolverhampton logistics firm has chosen Alzheimer’s Society as its nominated charity for 2019.
Pallet-Track will hold a series of fundraising events throughout the year to raise as much money as it can for the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity.
Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer and someone will develop it every three minutes – and there is currently no cure for the disease.
Alzheimer’s Society is the only UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research to find a cure and supports people living with dementia today.
Nigel Parkes, managing director of Pallet-Track, said: “Every year we select a charity so that we can show our support for those people and organisations who work tirelessly for the well-being of others.
“We have a real sense of teamwork at Pallet-Track and everyone will do their utmost to raise as much money as possible.
“Alzheimer’s Society is a fantastic charity, which supports people with the illness and carries out ground-breaking research so one day there might be a cure for this dreadful disease that deprives so many families of a loved one.”

Last year, Pallet-Track raised £12,500 for its chosen charity Marie Curie, which supports people living with terminal illnesses and their families to make the most of the time they have together.
The firm is hoping its fundraising efforts for charity this year will equal, if not better, last year’s figure.
