Oakleafe Claims plant further seeds for success with Hanley Town sponsorship deal

L-R: Hanley Town Manager Ryan Shotton welcomes Oakleafe Claims’ Grant Williams to the Payaro Stadium

Insurance claims specialists Oakleafe Claims have become Hanley Town’s latest signing having agreed a sponsorship deal with the Potteries based team.

The deal is part of a growing strategy of community involvement for the company in North Staffordshire.

With its Midlands regional office at Trent House in nearby Fenton, Oakleafe see a partnership with the Payaro Stadium club as a natural fit.

Lee Goodwin, a Director at the award winning company played for West Ham at youth level and went on to represent Dagenham and Redbridge FC.

Grant Williams, Regional Manager, at Oakleafe Claims, said: “We’re delighted to get involved with Hanley Town. Grassroots football is the lifeblood of the national game and we want to support The Blues and grow with them.

“Hanley Town is a go-ahead club at the heart of its community. I’m looking forward to spending time at the Payaro Stadium supporting the team.”

Club Chairman Ron McIlreavy said: “Building long lasting partnerships is key for a football club to survive. From our first meeting with Oakleafe we knew this was a perfect partnership, a company like us based at the heart of our community”

Grant Williams visited the Payaro Stadium and met with Hanley Town Manager Ryan Shotton, who had a long Premier League and EFL Championship career with Stoke City, Derby County and Middlesbrough.

Shotton said: “Since going into management here at Hanley Town, I’ve become more aware of how clubs operate. It would not be possible without the support of fantastic companies like Oakleafe.

“At Hanley Town we work hard not just to represent the club but also all our sponsors on and off the pitch.”

Oakleafe Claims have been crowned Loss Assessor of the Year by the British Claims Awards in each of the past three years.

A family company dating back eight generations, Oakleafe has more than 40 staff working across the UK.

Hanley Town were officially founded in 1966 (although the clubs roots go back to 1882) by a group of friends who would just play friendly matches on a Sunday before entering a Saturday league as Hanley Town.

They currently compete in the Northern Premier League Division One West after being crowned champions of the Midland League Premier Division in the 2021-2022 season.
