NLT launches a new brand, heralding a new era for 56-year-old training provider

Sarah Temperton and Mel Archbould launch the new NLT brand at the Chesterfield Business Expo – small

NLT Training Services has unveiled a brand new look.

The training provider has a new logo and a refreshed website. The new brand was launched at the Chesterfield Business Expo held at Casa Hotel in Chesterfield on Wednesday 24 April.

The brand’s new bright orange colour is a departure from the company’s long-standing blue and green colour palette.

“We want to stand out,” explained Sarah Temperton, Chief Executive of NLT. “NLT has come a long way in the last five years. It was time to step out of the shadows. We wanted a bold new look that reflected NLT’s future direction but also embraced our training heritage which spans nearly 60 years.”

The new brand is part of several changes at NLT which has training centres in Chesterfield and Scunthorpe. Most recently it welcomed Mel Archbould, owner and Managing Director of Cloud-busting, a business scale-up consultancy based in Chesterfield, to the board of trustees.

There are also plans afoot to remodel the training suite and offices at its Chesterfield training centre as well as add further training programmes to the portfolio.

Established in 1968, NLT has delivered training to thousands of individuals and companies from its centres in Chesterfield and Scunthorpe.

“We are responding to what our customers want. The post pandemic workplace is very different to what it was prior to 2020. Training needs are different, not only in the types of courses people want but how they want to access them,” added Sarah.

NLT has seen growth in demand for its range of accredited leadership and management courses which it attributes to the post pandemic work environment.

She said: “In recent years we have dramatically enhanced our training portfolio to include CMI accredited leadership and management, and coaching and mentoring courses. We have also changed how we deliver our courses, giving people the option of face-to-face, online, and blended learning.”

Sarah said: “The disruption, constant change, uncertainty in the workplace and hybrid working have affected employees; some feel anxious, others disconnected, resistant to change, and work in silos; all of which lowers employee engagement and trust. Therefore, workplace managers and leaders need to be more effective, or, at the very least, widen their interpersonal skillset. Leadership and management qualifications enable people to both reskill and upskill.”

In addition to CMI-accredited leadership and management training, NLT also offers an extensive range of Health and Safety courses, including CCNSG, MPQC/SPA, and CSCS, as well as bespoke training and elearning,

Courses can be booked online at www.nlt-training.co.uk or by calling 0333 880 3540.
