New book published by Nottingham coach

“The Way of the Diva” – A new launch by first time Nottingham Author Adam Goodman- Smith.

A Nottingham professional coach has just published his first personal development guidebook. Adam Goodman-Smith is Head of Creative development at national coaching firm Barefoot Coaching, who are based in Castle Donington.

Adam Goodman-Smith was raised by three strong women, in a single parent family.  These inspiring female role models are the reason behind his debut book “The Way of the Diva: Your Guide to a Bolder, Braver and More Confident You”.

Brought up by his mum, grandmother, and aunt in a powerful “trifactor” Adam recognised the power, and yet saw the vulnerabilities of many females who are often their own worst enemy.

A decade in the making. In his debut personal development “guidebook” called “The Way of the Diva” Adam uses both corporate leadership models from coaching and psychology and lived experience – creating bitesize chunks of practical advice for every aspiring diva.

He describes the book as This guidebook has been written for girls, gays and ‘theys’ in fact anybody who wants to nurture their diva within and start living the kind of life they deserve.”

Chapters include Confidence, Knowing Yourself, Build Your Entourage, Standing Up for Yourself, Goals, Blag It ‘Til You Bag It, Getting Shit Done, Failure, Career, Beware the Bitches, Happiness, Kindness, Keeping Your Cool, Self-Sabotage, Worrying, Taking Care of Yourself, Spirituality.

Following a decade long career in business (in both retail to HR) Adam moved into training and coaching, before becoming Head of Creative development at Barefoot Coaching.  Adam is an accredited coach and holds the International Coaching Federation’s ACC coaching credential. He is a podcast host and campaigner who has a passion for developing others.   He is also an Ambassador for Broxtowe Women’s Project, a Nottinghamshire based domestic abuse charity, and White Ribbon UK a national initiative engaging men and boys to end violence against women and girls.

With almost two decades of experience in personal development and coaching, he is committed to empowering people, specifically women and the LGBTQ+ community, to live more fulfilling lives by building confidence and self-esteem.

He continues “I’ve watched, I’ve observed, and I’ve learnt. I’ve seen people at their very best and I’ve seen people at their worst. I’ve grown to know with some certainty that in the face of change, and stress even the most capable and successful of people can lose sight of who they are and all that they bring. Far too often, even the strongest, most resilient and capable people can, without too much effort, become their own worst enemies.”

“They entertain the nagging little voice in their head that tells them they aren’t good enough, that they aren’t worthy and that if they try, they will fail.  They become more concerned with what could happen if things go wrong, than if they went right. They compare their own story – their achievements, talents and possessions, to that of others, making up all sorts of stories that just aren’t true.”

From confidence to self-care, kindness to composure and standing your ground to self-sabotage; 17 insightful chapters come together to create the ultimate guide to unleashing the bold, brave, and confident diva within.  ‘The Way of The Diva’ blends tools and techniques from the worlds of personal development, psychology, and coaching, with the art of being a fierce and fabulous diva.   He adds “It’s the dawn of a new diva and I want my book to help redefines what it means to be a modern-day diva.”

The Way of the Diva is available to buy online, in paperback, at £17.99 alongside an array of other Diva accessories https://www.thewayofthediva.com/ and can also be sent as a gift with a personalised message making the perfect present for any aspiring Diva this festive season.
