New accountancy firm thriving despite pandemic

An accountancy firm that launched at the height of the pandemic last year has been helping other businesses through the UK’s worst economic decline in 300 years.

Milton Keynes-based N-Accounting was launched early last year following the success of its sister company Northants Accounting, which began operating in 2014.

Since its inception, N-Accounting has been working at the financial frontline, helping businesses to deal with unprecedented uncertainty and adapt to new ways of working through a variety of services such as cashflow planning, VAT and tax returns and managing payroll. The firm also offered detailed advice to businesses about the Coronavirus furlough schemes and how they could make claims.

Nishi Patel, Managing Director of N-Accounting, said: “The last 12 months have been incredibly challenging and we’ve worked hard to help our clients manage the pressures of Covid-19 and how to overcome this once-in-a-lifetime situation.

“Sadly, at the beginning of the pandemic many businesses felt let down by their accountancy firms – but we were determined to step up and be there for our clients when they needed us most.

“So, for example, we provided our clients with access to cashflow planning software for free and taught them how to use it. We’ve also begun sending out informative monthly emails to our clients, keeping them updated with any new financial support available and how to access it.

“This has generated extra work for us – on top of our day-to-day services – but we are committed to going above and beyond for our clients. This commitment is why our sister firm in Northamptonshire has been such a success and why N-Accounting has gone from strength to strength since launching last year.”
