Learning Curve Group (LCG), the UK’s leading education and training provider, have been recognised as one of the best places to work by The Sunday Times in its renewed ranking of the UK’s top employers.
Landing on the list, this prestigious accolade highlights Learning Curve Group’s commitment to fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
The list, powered by WorkL, is calculated through rigorous assessment of employee feedback, based on eight workplace factors such as Confidence in Management, Wellbeing, Job Satisfaction and Employee Happiness. Published in the Sunday Times on 15th May, the ranking highlights organisations that prioritise employee satisfaction and engagement. LCG ranked Excellent in 7 out of 8 categories.
LCG, which was named alongside 36 other organisations in the ‘Big Organisation’ category including BrewDog PLC, Octopus Energy, and Mowgli Street Food Ltd, was commended for its commitment to employee development and growth, as well as its dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. The provider has implemented several initiatives to support its employees, including regular learning and development opportunities, internal promotions, employee wellbeing initiatives, and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
Diversity and Inclusion was deemed Excellent at Learning Curve Group, with WorkL noting that there is no difference between majority and minority groups based on an 88% score on the question ‘My company cares about diversity and inclusion and does everything it can to promote it’. This comes just two weeks after LCG took home the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion award at the Educate North Awards 2023, having been recognised for their commitment to creating an inclusive and equal work environment.
LCG excelled the industry average in every workplace area that was assessed, even scoring 17% above industry average in the ‘Instilling Pride’ factor. With an 83% average engagement score, engagement was 13% above the average industry engagement rating when compared to other organisations in the education and training sector.

One of the biggest investments for the business was the launch of the Purple Leaders Programme in 2022. Based on feedback, senior leaders and managers wanted greater flexibility and autonomy when it came to undertaking their CPD. Just six months after its launch, LCG have seen over 600 CPD requests. They are also passionate about fostering talent and potential and where someone may not have the perfect qualifications to fill vacancies, LCG will put CPD plans in place to help them get there, resulting in 6 trainees, with more to come, and over 50 apprentices across the organisation.
As a training provider, LCG have developed a ‘practice what they preach’ mentality which really focuses on increasing staff development and providing staff opportunities for progression.
