Mental health crowd fundraiser is more important than ever with further restrictions on lockdown

Gaby Goodchild, My Happy Eating Project

Making a difference to mental wellbeing is even more important than ever with further restrictions on lockdown.

On Thursday 29th October, danSoup is bringing innovative members of the community together once again to share, connect and help crowd fund great social projects that make a difference in Nottinghamshire and/or Derbyshire (City and County).

danSOUP is the friendly dragons’ den where projects pitch ideas that use arts activities to address mental health issues and the winner, chosen by the audience, takes a pot of cash.

danSOUP have run 8 fundraising events and have distributed over £5000 to grassroots organisations and small entrepreneurs, where a small pot of money can go a long way.

The current Covid-19 situation and further restrictions (in Nottinghamshire) has presented even more challenges, so now is the time for everybody to come together and support mental health initiatives.

We will be launching our interactive live event via Zoom on Thursday 29th October.  There, people will have the chance to take part in lively discussions and vote on the best project.

Already we have 5 exciting new pitches, but there is still time to get an idea in.  The deadline for pitches is 18th October 2020.
