MechFS celebrate £250k charity landmark

Doncaster-based mechanical engineering firm, MechFS, is celebrating after reaching an impressive milestone in its charitable contributions.

Based in Beckingham, South Yorkshire, the family-run firm, has donated more than £250,000 to both local charities and community causes since the company was founded just over a decade ago.

Key donations include £20,000 to the Workshop Dolphins Swimming Club, over £5,000 to The Dransfield Foundation which supports regeneration schemes across South Yorkshire, along with significant donations to multiple sports clubs including the Ladies Harworth Colliery Football Club, Barlborough Under 7’s and the Sphinx Under 12’s

Natalie Sutherland, Director at MechFS, said: “We’re really proud to have lent our support to local charities and causes over the last eleven years that we’ve been in business.

“As a family-run company, based here in Doncaster, we’ve always placed a lot of importance on giving back to the local community, be it through supporting local sports clubs for young people or helping charities tackle food inequality in the borough.

“We believe wholeheartedly that as a company that employs more than 140 people across South Yorkshire, we have a duty to give back and help support the local area to flourish.”

Other key donations made by MechFS include: £48,000 to Nordoff Robbins, A Music Therapy Charity, £5,000 to Doncaster Boxing Academy and £5,000 to The Club Doncaster Partnership Foundation, providing sport and physical activity opportunities to anyone within the Doncaster community and surrounding areas.
