Indian-inspired restaurant introduces new menu and 50% discount

Indian street food restaurant Burra Khana, located in Nottingham City Centre, is offering food lovers the chance to try a new and exciting menu from last Thursday (1 October).

The all-day dining restaurant, which is inspired by the markets of New Delhi, will be providing hungry consumers with Mumbai cooked breakfasts, afternoon chai, late night refreshments and a variety of classic street food dishes and sides. Customers can find Burra Khana within the Red Dog Saloon restaurant on Victoria Street and 50% discount will be available on all food for one week, and on breakfast for two weeks.

Lamb chops, tangdi kebab, paneer tikka and masala prawns are just a few dishes available from the grill, as well as family style small plates, kati rolls, curries and vegetarian dishes. From 9am, foodies can also enjoy a cooked breakfast, fruit and yoghurt or a naan roll with your choice of filling, cream cheese, chilli jam and fresh herbs.

Tom Brooke, Owner of Burra Khana, said: “We are well known for our authentic American food, so it was really exciting to bring something a bit different to Nottingham with Burra Khana.

“Our Indian street food includes a lunch time offering with kati rolls and salad plates, and our main menu of smaller family-style plates designed for sharing as well as curries and grilled dishes. We’re also offering 50% discount for two weeks from the 1 October, to give customers the chance to sample the new menu at a discounted rate.

“Our new brunch menu includes Indian-inspired scrambled eggs, crispy Sri Lankan pancakes and three choices of cooked breakfasts with an added twist – all of which can be washed down with either a Punjabi yoghurt drink, a Persian household staple with fresh fruits or a masala chai tea or coffee, brewed with aromatic spices and herbs.”

Burra Khana is also offering happy hour on its classic and signature cocktails until 6.30pm on weekdays and 9.30pm on weekends, which include two cocktails for £10. Mocktails, beers, wine and prosecco are also available on the menu.

Tom added: “We’re passionate about the food we serve and having already developed a loyal following, we can’t wait to welcome people from the city to try our new menu and experience what Burra Khana has to offer.”

Burra Khana first opened its doors in 2019 and is a part of the authentic American BBQ restaurant Red Dog Saloon, located within the same building. The business currently has four other restaurants and has built up a loyal following and reputation for serving high-quality dishes.

Burra Khana is open between 9am-11pm from Monday to Sunday, with hours differing on weekends, and is also available to order through Deliveroo.
