How Teri Ellington a 24-year-old entrepreneur is helping to inspire people with mental health struggles in these current circumstances

Teri Ellington, 24-year-old entrepreneur from the North east of England who created her very own watch line in 2017, Ellington Timepiece. In 2018 her first collection went live named after her German Shepherd, Sheba, who helped, Teri be able to leave the house after struggling with agoraphobia and mental health. Teri has continued to share her own story of the struggles she has had to face during her darkest time of struggling with panic attacks, depression and anxiety. Over the last two years, Ellington Timepiece is a brand that is becoming better known every day due to the popular demand of her Limited-edition watches. By limited edition, we mean there is only 100 of each colour of each collection available and each watch comes with its own wax sealed authenticity number certificate.

Through the watches, Ellington Timepiece has created a community of not only watch lovers but also a community of people who can resonate to the brands story. The recent range, The Amare Collection is the meaning “ To Love” in Latin. With three male and three female designs and their recent extended special edition line to celebrate two years in business. Teri started, Ellington Timepiece in her bedroom. She then moved her in the converted garage and then in February 2020 moved into her  own premises. Taking on new staff and recently investment for the business. However, there is much more to the brand. Through many recent press release and social media posts, Teri has continued to upload inspiring videos and photos of her journey inspiring people of all different ages and background to start their own business or keep going in times of struggle. Teri recently stated “I receive hundreds of messages every day from people telling me how I’ve helped give them advice and courage to start a business or continue their business. I receive message from people who have said they now feel less alone in the business community because I’ve been open about the struggles of mental health and how this can affect people in business”.  Teri has recently been asked to do talks at events, University, colleges, and many more places to talk about her own experiences in mental health and in business which she is very excited to start doing. “if I can help just one person then that will make me very happy”.

Teri recently uploaded a video to all platforms of social media of how to think positively in these recent circumstances which is massively effecting business and peoples aspirations. Teri said “Don’t let this stop your dream and goals, everybody will face bumps and hurdles in business. Trust me I’ve had many, but there is always away around things”.  In December 2019, Teri’s brand, Ellington Timepiece was featured in the Newcastle airport billboard. This was the first time her brand could be seem in a public place. She uploaded the photo to LinkedIn speaking about her journey with, Ellington Timepiece. The post reached 1.8million people and the brand has continued to go from strength to strength.
