Following Premiership Rugby’s confirmation that Round 12 of the Gallagher Premiership will celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month, the Club is pleased to confirm that our Leicester Tigers match will be this year’s LGBTQ+ celebration match in recognition of this historically important month in February.
The Women’s team will use their Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby match against Sale Sharks to celebrate LGBTQ+ inclusion in the sport.

The matches will form an integral part of the Club’s wider LGBTQ+ visibility and advocacy work that will build up across the end of 2023 and through 2024 as the Club continue to drive for increased diversity and representation and to ensure that Harlequins is a club for all. The Club will continue to champion inclusivity, show support for the LGBTQ+ community, and use its platform to positively impact the experience of the LGBTQ+ people within sports.
Harlequins Chief Executive Laurie Dalrymple said: “We are delighted to confirm the dates for the LGBTQ+ Pride celebration matches as these are an integral part of our Club strategy, we believe strongly that rugby should be a sport for all and that we can and should use our platform in professional sport to raise awareness, educate, and drive change. We are working with Premiership Rugby and Premiership Women’s Rugby to align plans across the leagues to start to accelerate change across our entire sport. This is incredibly important for our Club, our sport and the LGBTQ+ community.”
Further details will be shared in the coming weeks around a wide range of activities that the Club is leading to further celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and promote rugby as a sport for all.
