World-leading passenger information company Hanover is expanding its international operations with a new office in Hong Kong.

The launch of Hanover Far East Ltd reinforces the company’s global reputation for high technology passenger information systems in the public transport sector.

Hanover, which has operated in the Far East market since 1999, is launching the new venture in K11 ATELIER 11 SKIES, Hong Kong International Airport and right beside Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge.

From there it will operate a sales, service support and parts warehousing operation, which will serve the market in Hong Kong, China and the wider Far East.

Andy Williams, Sales Director of Hanover said: “We have been active in the Hong Kong market for nearly 25 years and are now well established as the leading destination display supplier in the market. During this time, we have also seen increasing levels of business with the OEMs in the region, including many of the major Chinese bus builders.

More than 6,000 buses featuring Hanover technology are running day and night in Hong Kong.

The displays have proven their ability to perform reliably in a challenging environment, operating in high temperatures and humidity, with long service hours.

The systems are exceptionally durable and our extended warranties are testament to the longevity of our products.”

Specialising in LED display technology, audio-visual passenger information, automatic vehicle positioning, geo-localisation and fleet management, Hanover

employs over 200 people in Lewes, South England, as well as almost 100 additional staff internationally.

The company has enjoyed sustained growth to become a global business, with subsidiaries in continental Europe, North America and Australia, and partnering agents in other overseas territories throughout the world.

The Hong Kong office is the eighth regional centre opened by Hanover since its launch in 1985.

Him Kwan, Sales Manager added: “The new office in Hong Kong provides an excellent platform for us.

“Customers in more than 80 countries worldwide now use a range of Hanover’s products, attracted by high levels of quality, reliability and customer service.”
