Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Deutsche Bank and Santander Asset Management announced to headline Trade Finance Investor Day 2023

Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Deutsche Bank, Santander Asset Management and Vayana have been announced as panellists for the inaugural Trade Finance Investor Day 2023. Hosted by The Trade Finance Distribution Initiative (TFDi), the event promises to chart a bold new course for the world of trade finance, spotlighting the critical roles of alternative lenders and institutional investors.

Trade finance’s dynamic landscape is shifting. At the heart of this evolution are alternative lenders and institutional investors, who have been instrumental in extending vital liquidity to SMEs. Trade Finance Investor Day seeks to accelerate this transformation by gathering the brightest minds in finance for a two-day summit.

Amidst the uncertainty of supply chain delays and geopolitical tensions, the global trade finance market still anticipates growth, rising from USD 45 billion in 2022 to USD 73.3 billion by 2032. In April, the UK Chancellor bolstered UK Export Finance (UKEF) with a £10 billion grant, raising the limit to £60 billion. While welcomed by the British Exporters Association (BExA), calls for “simplification and digitisation” persist.

Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Santander Asset Management, and Vayana TradeXchange among other industry heavyweights, will spearhead discussions on the symbiotic relationship between capital markets, alternative lending platforms, and technological innovations that streamline investment into trade finance.

In addition to these financial titans, the ICC United Kingdom will present insights into the future of digital trade, with a keen focus on the policies supporting negotiable instruments and digital assets, as well as cutting-edge policies that promise efficiency and cost reductions.

Set for the 19th and 20th of October 2023 at the luxurious Grove Golf and Spa resort in Hertfordshire, the Trade Finance Investor Day guarantees a blend of in-depth panel discussions, enlightening Power Pitch sessions, and rich networking opportunities. The event is supported by XDC Foundation, as the Platinum sponsor.

The roster also boasts participation from distinguished entities such as ICC UK, ITFA, Teybridge Capital, Tradeteq, Legal & General IM, Skybound Capital, Mercore, Finverity, XDC Trade Network, and more.

For over 4 years, TFD Initiative has been a staunch proponent of demonstrating trade as an institutional investment class. Their commitment continues as they aim to refine the blueprint for trade finance distribution and its corresponding originate-and-distribute model.
