Elevate Property Group has completed its five year, £40 million Princes Gate scheme that has redeveloped a landmark Solihull town centre site.

More than 150 luxury new homes have been built by the Birmingham-based developer since work commenced in 2019, with the transformation of Imperial House, next to the former HMRC offices in Homer Road, marking the final phase of the project.

The latest construction work has created a further 60 apartments, joining the existing 100 properties at Consort House and Royal House.

Imperial house was designed by Birmingham based architect firm Corstophine & Wright and built by Kavannagh Construction.

James Costello, managing director of Elevate, said: “The Princes Gate development is a great addition to the Solihull landscape and has regenerated a site close to the town centre, as well as providing much-needed housing in the area.

“I’d like to thank Kavannagh Construction, as well as our partners and suppliers, who have all put a great team effort into creating this stunning development.”

He continued: “The Imperial House development provides not only a courtyard and upper terrace area for residents to enjoy, but also a spectacular rooftop terrace which provides breath-taking views of the city and surrounding Tudor Grange Park – the best of both worlds you could say.

“This is one of several regeneration schemes we have completed in the West Midlands. As a Birmingham-based developer, we are passionate about bringing urban areas back to life by creating homes and, importantly, communities.”

Kavannagh Construction’s Aiden O’Gara added his support: “This is the second time we have worked with Elevate and follows the construction of 56 stunning properties at Camden Street in the Jewellery Quarter.

“Imperial House has strengthened the relationship even further and it has been very rewarding being part of a fantastic project that has successfully regenerated an important part of Solihull.”

Imperial House, which is already 60 per cent sold is right in the heart of Solihull, just a short walk from the station with regular trains into Birmingham, Coventry, and the wider network. The town will also benefit from its own HS2 hub once complete and has quick access to the Midlands sprawling motorway network.

All apartments are EPC B rated, meaning they are amongst the top 10 per cent of all energy efficient homes on the market in the UK.

Many of them have private balconies and all have car parking with access to communal electric vehicle charging points.

Prices for available apartments start at £225,000 for one-bedroom apartments and £325,000 two-beds. Penthouse apartments are also on sale, from £450,000 to £625,000.
