Stunning views of open countryside attracted John and Jill McQueen to Lace Fields in Nottinghamshire, where they found their forever home.
Jill was visiting nearby Rushcliffe Country Park during the pandemic when she noticed the attractive new development being built on the edge of Ruddington village by award winning housebuilder William Davis Homes.
“We were looking for somewhere with retirement in mind – and Lace Fields is ideal,” said Jill, who works from home. “It’s the best of both worlds – a lovely countryside setting with easy access to Nottingham as well.”
The couple, who were born in Nottingham, moved into their four-bedroom Blyth last year. One of the bedrooms has become Jill’s office, which offers a perfect view of the fields. “The sun comes through in the morning and it’s a wonderful start to the day,” she said.
John is a sales representative for a plumbers’ merchants and praised the quality of William Davis’ construction work. “The house was still being built when we first saw the plot and we loved it straightaway. I like the fact William Davis have a directly employed workforce. The brickwork is outstanding.
“The whole move went very smoothly and William Davis have been really helpful throughout the process. We can see why they’ve won the national five-star award for customer satisfaction for eight years running.”
