A company which helps specialises in helping business to unlock their capital allowances has capped a period of growth by moving to new offices and making major changes to its company brand and web presence.

Capital Allowance Review Service has grown its team by around a third, to 15. in recent months.

Now it’s relocated to new headquarters at Highpoint, at the Festival Park business district, Stoke-on-Trent.

Founded over 20-years ago, the company is headed by father and son, Chris and Paul Roberts.

It has a growing team of advisers providing support to companies and to accountancy practices, seeking specialist advice, across the UK.

The Stoke-on-Trent headquarter team are supported by colleagues in Chester and Manchester.

Managing Director, Chris Roberts, said recent growth meant the firm needed additional space, adding that the Highpoint building was a perfect home for its multi-disciplinary team.

The move is seen by Chris as a long-term investment to the future of the company. He said: “Over the last two years, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in the volume of accountants seeking support resulting in a significant upturn in submitted claims to HMRC.

“Such claims secure tax savings for businesses and these have proved crucial during the uncertainty of the last 18 months, as companies fought against pandemic lockdowns.

“The last few months have also seen an increase in client enquiries, as more businesses are now planning to buy or renovate commercial property.”

“The new HQ provides us with a workspace that matches the long-term ambitions of the company. We now have a fantastic working environment that enables us to continue building on our training & development programme for the network of advisors and clients we support”.

Capital Allowance Review Service was previously housed in smaller offices at Festival Park.

The company has also spent time revising the look and feel of its brand.

The new brand has a more people friendly, less corporate feel which the Directors see as more ion keeping with how companies do business in the 2020s.

Said Chris: “Our new brand has given us a modern identity and the new website has enabled us to really demonstrate how we can help advisors and their clients with property capital allowances claims. It’s also provided a fantastic learning resource platform to educate other professionals on the ins and outs of capital allowances.”

Capital Allowance Review Service was founded by Paul Roberts. The company has never lost a case, securing tens of thousands of pounds, for companies to help them grow. Paul has played a role in shaping the capital allowance claims system and sat on the 2014 HMRC working party that led to national reform of the claims system.

Chris, Paul’s son, joined him in the business nine years ago, and has played a significant role in growing the business, rising to the position of Managing Director.
