Call for help to celebrate twelve days of Christmas at KEMP

KEMP Hospice is looking for talented people from across the community to donate an hour of their time this December to support their Twelve Days of Christmas celebrations.

KEMP Hospice offers care and support to individuals, families and carers across the Wyre Forest who are dealing with life-limiting illness and bereavement. Four days a week KEMP offers specialist care and support to patients at their day hospice on Mason Road. During December, the charity puts on festive entertainment for their patients, hosting a variety of performers. This year, they are putting out a call for people to volunteer their time to perform between Monday 2 and Friday 20 December.

KEMP Hospice Head of Care, Karen Coles said: “The festive season is fast approaching and KEMP would really like our day hospice patients to have a very special Christmas. It can be a difficult time of year for anyone, especially if you don’t know how many more Christmases you’ll be able to enjoy, so emotions can run high and low here. I do hope that anyone that hears about our Twelve Days of Christmas will come forward to volunteer their time and skills to entertain our patients. I’m looking for singers, entertainers, poets, performers, musicians, magicians…anyone who can make December really special for some really special people. We want to make the most of Christmas with as much singing, laughter and magic as possible – it really is the greatest present anyone could give.”

Could you spare an hour to sing a song, play an instrument or read a book to our patients? Are you a local celebrity perhaps? Can you dance, do magic, are you a caller for a game of bingo, or could you perform a short comedy or acting routine? Whatever your talent, KEMP Hospice would love to hear from you.

If you are a performer who would like to help, please contact Karen Coles by calling 01562 756000 or emailing: [email protected].

Anyone wishing to donate or fundraise for KEMP can call 01562 756066, or find out more online at: www.kemphospice.org.uk.
