Birmingham networking evening raises £1250 for Children in Need

A networking event organised by Birmingham-based licensed property expert, James A Baker, has raised more than £1,200 for BBC Children In Need.

Up to 150 people attended the Midlands Licensed Surveyor Event, held at Birmingham’s Revolucion de Cuba bar.

The Birmingham-based firm, which also has branches in Leeds, London and Bath, first hosted the event in 2011 and again four years ago. After offering to host the 2019 event, the team at James A Baker decided to raise funds for the annual BBC appeal at the same time.

Jack Sinclair, associate director for James A Baker in Birmingham, said the annual event for licensed surveyors is a fun and informal way for people to get together and network.

“We hosted it in 2011 and 2015 and everyone had such a good time we wanted to be involved again. We’re absolutely delighted to have raised £1,250 from the raffle, a great amount to add into the Children In Need fund. The charity does so much good work for youngsters in this country and beyond, and because it coincided with our licensed property event this year it seemed fitting to fundraise for it.

“A huge thank you to everyone who supported us, came along and had fun, and most importantly helped to raise this great sum of money.”
