Birmingham Hospice’s ‘Reloved Revolution’ has begun!

On Thursday 10 August 2023, Birmingham Hospice opened the doors to its new concept shop, Reloved Revolution by Birmingham Hospice, for the first time. Located on Harborne High Street, the 6,470 square foot store features an in-store café, community space, selfie mirror and weekend DJ sets, alongside thousands of preloved items for customers to purchase and enjoy.

Birmingham Hospice is the new name for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and John Taylor Hospice. Its mission is, and always has been, to provide local people living with a terminal diagnosis, and their families, the care and support they need, whenever they need it.

Joined by Jennifer Graham, known as ‘Charity Shop Girl’, the hospice’s Retail Team were delighted to welcome hundreds of people throughout the day and see the high-quality stock fly off the shelves.

Cath D’eath, the charity’s Retail Area Manager, said: “After months of hard work, it’s beyond exciting to see our vision of a charity shop like no other be realised. Our commitment to providing a unique shopping experience to our customers has inspired every decision we have made.

“We can’t wait for you to come along and experience it for yourselves. Join the revolution – we know you’ll love it as much as we do, and every penny you spend will enable us to support more local people living with a terminal diagnosis, and their families.”

Jen, Charity Shop Girl, said: “Doing this project with Birmingham Hospice has been the highlight of my Charity Shop Girl journey, and I’m so proud of everything we’ve achieved together.

“I can’t wait for you all to see the finished shop, it truly is a charity shop like no other.”

Reloved Revolution is open seven days a week – Monday to Saturday 9am until 5pm, and Sunday 10am until 4pm.
