A Birmingham-based workforce solutions specialist has led a campaign which will see over a hundred Easter eggs donated to the city’s Central Foodbank.

The Jarell Group, based in Church Street, have collected over 120 Easter eggs from staff and clients and will be donating the chocolate treats to the foodbank in Birmingham City Church to help give children a better Easter.

Shannon Fletcher, Marketing Coordinator at The Jarell Group said: “The simple treat of a chocolate Easter egg can make a huge difference to a child who will have to spend this special holiday in food poverty.

“We don’t want any children to go without and want to ensure that parents who are using the foodbank here in central Birmingham can get hold of an Easter egg easily. It’s all about putting a smile on kids’ faces and it always means so much.

“We’re delighted to have collected so many eggs and our staff and clients have been brilliant helping to stockpile dozens of eggs. They’ve really got behind the campaign.”

Nitasha Christian, an Administrator at the Foodbank said: “We rely on the kind-hearted donations from individuals and businesses here in Birmingham and everyone at the Jarell Group has gone to a huge effort.

“Easter eggs mean a lot to children at this time of the year and it can’t be underestimated how many smiles this donation will put on their faces.”
