Popular Midlands organisation Birmingham Black Lawyers is hosting its Annual Black Tie Ball on Saturday 22nd July at the prestigious Cricket Grounds at Edgbaston.

BBL, now in its 12th year, was set up to address the need for greater representation and integration of Black Lawyers in the Birmingham legal community and to promote a more diverse legal sector in the Midlands.

Led by Co-Chairs Tamina Greaves and Kishma Bolaji, both full time practising solicitors themselves, the organisation hosts events throughout the year, offering support through mentorship, skills workshops, webinars, social events, and creating opportunities for networking and career development. Its membership comprises law students and established legal professionals at various stages of their careers, with strong community sponsorship and support from a number of law firms and barristers Chambers in the Midlands, as well as members of the judiciary.

The Annual Ball is the highlight of BBL’s calendar, delivering an evening of fine dining, entertainment, the presentation of the BBL Excellence Awards and dancing until the early hours. It is a repeatedly sold out affair, with guests travelling from as far away as Scotland to attend.
