Bereco celebrates fellow sustainable home improvement brands for Reclaim Social Day

South Yorkshire-based timber window and door specialist Bereco is highlighting how powerful social media can be in encouraging consumers to be more sustainable this Reclaim Social Day.

Reclaim Social Day, on Monday, February 6, is a chance to celebrate the positive side of social media and raise awareness of the good messages being spread by brands and individuals.

Sustainability is one of the main focuses for Bereco, which provides beautifully bespoke, energy-efficient, and naturally renewable timber windows and doors that do not cost the earth, and is a proud member of the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP).

This year, the company is also a Silver Sponsor of the ASBP Awards. These awards, now in their fifth year, celebrate truly sustainable building projects, products and initiatives, and the 2023 winners will be announced at a ceremony in London later this month.

As Bereco offers an environmentally friendly way to improve and upgrade your home, it is using this year’s Reclaim Social Day to champion other companies who share this ethos and use their online platform to help others make more sustainable choices.

This includes fellow ASBP members Keim Paints, who supply products with a purely mineral basis and consist of natural raw material.

Other brands championing similar causes include The Solid Wood Flooring Company, which only sources its materials from well-managed, legal and sustainable forests and plants four new oak trees for every tree it uses, and LuxaFlex, which offers shutters and blinds that promote heat insulation and use recycled materials.

Nicola Harrison, Managing Director at Bereco, said: “We are so passionate about providing our customers with products that improve their homes in so many ways and allow them to live a more sustainable, environmentally friendly lifestyle.

“Social media can be a great tool for promoting this message, but Bereco cannot do this alone. There are lots of elements to upgrading your house, so it is amazing to see other home improvement companies sharing the same values and helping people to continue making more eco-friendly choices.

“We take every opportunity to champion fellow green industry leaders and our partnership with ASBP is just another part of that.”

Bereco demonstrates its commitment to sustainability in many ways, from its FSC®100% sustainably sourced timber to its U-values, which are up to 25% better than the new 2022 Part L Building Regulations.

The company also donates £1 to the Wood Land Trust for every timber door purchased, saving acres of rainforest.
