Award-winning special needs organisation Sunshine Support is recruiting for key roles

An award-winning special needs organisation is recruiting for three key roles as it looks to strengthen its team.

Sunshine Support, which is based in Derby, helps parents, carers and professionals who support young people with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).

Founded in 2017 by mum-of-four Chrissa Wadlow after a battle to secure her daughter a suitable education provision that took two SEND tribunals, a High Court case and one final SEND tribunal, Chrissa works to help others navigate their way through the process of Special Education Needs.

She is recruiting for a full-time SEND advocate who is well versed in the current legislation in England, an events co-ordinator to oversee in-person and online training events, networking and social events, and a part-time support co-ordinator.

Chrissa said: “We are extremely busy and, as such, are looking to strengthen our team. We support our staff with ongoing training and development, various wellbeing benefits and an attractive salary.

“Equity and justice is at the heart of everything we do at Sunshine Support, but we do this with a sense of compassion, care and fun. Our headquarters in Derby is a great place to work, although we do offer flexible working and, as you would expect, we’re an inclusive employer.”
