Burton on Trent headquartered roof tile manufacturer Russell Roof Tiles (RRT) is looking forward again to the football season.
The firm has signed a deal for shirt sponsorship for League One Burton Albion Football Club for a fourth consecutive season, showcasing the Russell Roof Tiles logo on both the home and away shirts.
The manufacturer (which has two sites in Burton and one in Scotland) has supported the club for the past eight years, including sponsoring the East Stand at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton on Trent since 2018.
The logo will be on the back of the shirts at the start of the 2023/24 season for Manager Dino Maamria’s first team squad throughout the Sky Bet League One season.
Known as “The Brewers”, the Club’s new kit offers a modern take on the classic Burton Albion yellow, with its black away kit staying the same due to its popularity among fans.
This news comes shortly after Russell Roof Tiles announced its £18.5million expansion plans in Burton.
Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson said “We greatly value our partnership with Russell Roof Tiles, and we are proud to see the name of this very successful community-minded company on our first team shirts.
“We are delighted the company are continuing their shirt sponsorship for the 2023/24 season, and we are excited by the new design from our long-standing kit partners TAG, which we are sure our fans are going to enjoy wearing.”
Andrew Hayward, Managing Director at Russell Roof Tiles added: “We’re really pleased to be supporting Burton Albion at such an important time in our company history, as we embark on a major investment in our Burton manufacturing facility, to secure continued success.”
In addition to supporting Burton Albion, Russell Roof Tiles continues to support local causes to its three sites through it’s Give 4 Good Campaign, by supporting 38 charities and raising £205,000 since 2015. The manufacturer has pledged to raise £40,000 this year, with members of staff hoping to break their fundraising record through a skydive for charity.
